This is one game that got a shit rating on Gamespot. It got a 6.0 out of 10 and deserves much more credit than that. Either the guy who wrote the review has something against Nintendo made games or doesn't know how to write a review from a hole in the ground. Anyway besides the fact I now hate Gamespot reviews a tad more, the game itself I though was really well done. It is a direct sequel from the Gamecube game Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance which is another fantastic game. To give you some background on the game itself, you start in the game with a group known as the Dawn Brigade in a country who has been taken over by its neighbour Crimea which one during the Mad King Ashnard War. Crimea however was recovering from the damage done by Daein during the war and cannot even think to run two countries at once rather than just their own. Therefore Crimea leaves it upon Begnion (which helped Crimea retake there homeland) to keep control and look after things in Daein. The people who were sent from Begnion however treated the Daein people as nothing more than slaves and making men who were of age to fight in the army work in labour camps. The Dawn Brigade is setting out to change all that helping out townsfolk with problems that might come up and looked to one day take back Daein and restore itself as a nation. The previous King of Daien was said to have a son left behind but was never made public and looks to retake back his lost kingdom. A lot of new characters make their first appearances in the game but many characters from Path of Radiance return such as the Griel Mercenaries, laguz such as Ranulf and Muriam, and of course the Crimean soldiers who fought under Ike in the last game. The graphics I have to admit are not much of an upgrade from Gamecube but there are a lot more cut scenes which give the game a nice feel to it that your actually in control of the story more than you were in the Gamecube game. The Gameplay itself has been revamped as well as the Battle System which is much more efficient than in Path of Radiance. Now the plot line is very deep as you can see I only touched the very surface of it. There are a lot of shocking plot twists and turns and this game definitely has some replay value. The AI difficulty is even hard for Easy which gives the player a much harder time to just go up and kill people without having some kind of strategy planned before the end of the turn. The music was really well done for this game. In the Extra's menu after you beat the game once through, it comes with a complete soundtrack with over 60 songs. Overall this game has been underrated here in North America and for sure deserves a lot of credit because it is by far one of the better games for the Nintendo Wii right now.
